Payment by credit or debit card is accepted via the secure on-line payment facility of PayPal. There is no extra charge to buyers for using this facility and PayPal now accepts Australian Dollars.

Rates are set on a per page basis (one page calculated as being A4, double-spaced and 250 words).

Please note where 'Hardcopy Only' and 'Electronic Only' services apply.

Editing of electronic submissions is charged at a slightly higher rate due to extra time involved in marking-up the hardcopy (always necessary) and duplicating those editing marks accurately on-screen.

Electronic submissions incur an extra fee of 30 cents per page for the printing of the manuscript for editing purposes.

Payment for these services is required with the manuscript. No work begins until payment is received.

Minimum and maximum prices are given below for Copyediting and Substantive Editing. The cost of these particular edits can only be set after the manuscript has been viewed to assess the depth of editing required. The Agreement of Service, sent to you before work begins, includes the firm price for editing your work. If a Mini Edit has not been done, the first 50 (double-spaced) pages of the manuscript may be sent to obtain a firm price.

Half the set price is payable at the time of submitting your manuscript for editing. The balance is required by the date agreed upon in the Agreement of Service and payable prior to the return of your edited manuscript.

Assessments are done on fiction (short stories, novellas and novels of all genres) and non-technical non-fiction manuscripts.

Full Assessments are 8-12 weeks, Mini Assessments are 4-6 weeks depending on length of the manuscript and my current workload.

For manuscripts exceeding 130,000 words, please contact me.

Due to the amount of reading, all manuscripts are assessed using hardcopy. Therefore electronic submissions incur an additional fee for the printing of the manuscript.

For Short Stories please add on $8.00.
For Book-length Manuscripts please add on $25.00.

Payment in the form of a Money Order or Cheque must be received before work begins.

Rates are determined after discussion, taking into consideration your project, specific needs and time involved. Depending on the word count and amount of research necessary, costs can be from $8,000 to $20,000 plus.
